IQC 4.0 (Initiative Québécoise pour la Construction 4.0), an initiative in the works since April 2018, was developed in conjunction with Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation (MEI) du Québec, local construction associations (Groupe BIM du Québec, CEGQ) and l’Institut de gouvernance numérique.

Companies enter at no cost this program designed to accelerate the digital shift of the built environment sector by providing each participant with a customized action plan to initiate or continue a digital transition/transformation process internally.

Action plans are accompanied by a personalized diagnostic in which each company's level of digital maturity will be assessed. An analysis of the company's operational challenges and needs completes the audit. The resulting action plan will map all essential elements of a successful digital transition, including key performance indicators to ensure an adequate implementation of the new business processes recommended.

Québec government has invested $3.6M in this concerted sectoral effort. Participants must invest between 20 and 40 hours of their time, over a 3-month period, to complete their digital journey.
