IQC 4.0 (Quebec Initiative for Construction 4.0), an initiative that has been ongoing since April 2018, was developed in collaboration with the Quebec Ministry of Economy and Innovation (MEI), local construction associations (Quebec BIM Group, CEGQ) and the Digital Governance Institute (CEGQ).

Businesses can participate free of charge in this program designed to accelerate the digital transition of the built environment sector by providing each participant with a personalized action plan to initiate or continue a digital transition/transformation process internally. The action plans are accompanied by a personalized diagnosis in which the level of digital maturity of each company will be evaluated. An analysis of operational challenges and business needs completes the audit. The resulting action plan will map all the essential elements of a successful digital transition, including key performance indicators to ensure adequate implementation of the recommended new business processes.

The Government of Quebec has invested $3.6 million in this concerted sectoral effort. Participants must invest between 20 and 40 hours of their time, over a period of 3 months, to complete their digital journey.
