The Quebec government supports the digital transition of its construction industry with a $3.6 million investment
IQC 4.0 (Initiative Québécoise pour la Construction 4.0), an initiative underway since April 2018, was developed in collaboration with Quebec's Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation (MEI), local construction associations (Groupe BIM du Québec, CEGQ) and the Institut de gouvernance numérique.
Companies can participate free of charge in this program designed to accelerate the digital transition of the built environment sector by providing each participant with a personalized action plan to initiate or continue an in-house digital transition/transformation process. The action plans are accompanied by a personalized diagnostic in which each company's level of digital maturity will be assessed. An analysis of the company's operational challenges and needs completes the audit. The resulting action plan will map all the essential elements of a successful digital transition, including key performance indicators to ensure proper implementation of the recommended new business processes.
The Quebec government has invested $3.6 million in this concerted sectoral effort. Participants must invest between 20 and 40 hours of their time, over a 3-month period, to complete their digital journey.
